At Tir na n’Og we invite you to get away
from the everyday humdrum of life and re-connect with your true self in
nature. In these modern times it is all too easy to become lost and pulled
off your spiritual path. We are all so busy working, rushing around dealing
with the day to day things in life that often we are – too tired
to meditate, too busy to take a walk and connect with the earth or to
perform a simple ritual or prayer and of course when we are on this path
these things are important to our own physical and spiritual well being
and so we become tired, cranky, unwell and discontent. At these times
it can be good to take time out maybe just a few days to re-connect away
from everyday demands and distractions to refresh the soul and remember
our purpose.
We offer you that opportunity here, from a couple of days to a couple
of weeks, whatever you choose.
Tir na n’Og is very ancient sacred land, the land itself seems to
hug you, it has a very healing quality and has a feeling of otherworldly.
Indeed the name Tir na n’Og means just that, it is Celtic for “Otherworld”
Faery Realm” “Land of Eternal Youth”. People often notice
when they step through the gate a shift in consciousness, an altered awareness,
almost like stepping out of time.
We have 2 very comfortable 3 bedroomed mobile homes which are fully equipped
with cooking facilities and showers. Also in the bottom field there are
3 large tipis which offer an experience in itself. There is a shower and
cooking facilities in the common room and we have compost toilets around
the site. There is also a 30’ ceremonial tipi which is available
for group use should you be part of a group. We have a beautiful meditation
room where you could just sit quietly or make use of the crystal bowls
or gong. We have a healing temple complete with full size pyramid, sitting
in the pyramid offers a profound healing experience and a qualified therapist
is on hand should you need to work through any personal issues in complete
confidence. We have a sweat lodge on site which can be made available
by arrangement.
We ask all visitors to be respectful of the land and its wildlife and
to be prepared to return to basics and re-connect with the earth and their
soul
